PURPOSE:To avoid a hazard, by scanning a portion to be detected inside a tank with a fiber-scope to facilitate the work of observing the inside of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Pulleys 31-38 are arranged inside a tank 10 and a pulley 39 is arranged outside the tank 10. A cable 40 is applied between the pulleys 31-39 and shall be positioned along a portion requiring a monitoring, such as weld part. A fiber scope 50 is mounted at a part of the cable 40. The fiber scope 50 is a combination of an image guide 51 and a light guide 52 and an objective lens system 53 fixed on a stationary jig 54 is provided at the tip of the image guide 51. As the cable 40 is moved by a moving system from outside the tank 10, the detecting position of the fiber scope 50 moves along the inner wall of the tank 10 thereby facilitating the detection of a defect, corrosion and the like existing inside the tank 10. |
