PURPOSE:To increase degree of freedom of design of a speed change point by performing an upshift speed change by turning off a solenoid temporarily only when a specified period of time has elapsed after a specified vehicle speed is exceeded under a kickdown condition. CONSTITUTION:When acceleration is made with a kickdown switch being off and a set vehicle speed is reached, a 1st timer starts to count time. At that time a solenoid control means turns the solenoid off temporarily and a speed change point of a shift valve switches to a low vehicle speed side to perform an upshift speed change. At the same time, a 2nd timer starts to count time. At that time, the solenoid control means turns the solenoid on by means of a reset means. Since a vehicle speed at this point of time is above the speed change point due to hysteresis of a shift valve, a downshift speed change is not performed. In addition, time lag is not produced when a kickdown is performed under a condition of small degree of throttle opening. |
