PRODUCTION OF READILY DEHYDRATING DUSTING MAT

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled tough and readily dehydrating mat hardly breakable with ease, by forming water-permeable holes from protruding parts for forming the water-permeable holes in vulcanization in a rubber back skin layer of a tufted dusting mat. CONSTITUTION:In producing a readily dehydrating dusting mat, a mold release sheet 3 having protruding parts 2 is placed on a vulcanization mold 1 so as to provide the above-mentioned protruding parts on the opposite side of the surface of the mold 1. An unvulcanized rubber sheet for forming a rubber backing layer 4 is placed thereon and a base fabric 6 having tufted piles is superposed thereon to bring a stitch surface into contact with the above-mentioned rubber sheet. The resultant laminated sheet is then heated while pressurizing from above the base fabric 6 with a press plate 7 to simultaneously mold the mat and form water-permeable holes in the rubber backing layer with the protruding parts 2.
