PURPOSE:To simplify the specification of a data imprinting area by arranging an area corresponding to the blocks of an original on a panel and specifying the area. CONSTITUTION:When an original 240 is set up on a glass plate 16 and copy is started, the latent images 241, 242 of the original and imprinting data are formed on a photosensitive drum 1 and respective latent images are copied on copying paper 242. The latent image 242 is formed on the upper right of the latent image 241. A writing area specifying device 2000 is provided with an edition and data writing area 2120, an operation panel 2110 and a data liquid crystal display 2100. The original is divided into respective blocks so that a position on the original can be specified in each block, the areas consisting of area parts corresponding to respective blocks is arranged on the panel and each area is specified to specify the position on the original. At the time exposing the original image on the photosensitive body. the specified imprinting area on the photosensitive body is shielded from the exposure to expose the imprinting data and imprint the data. |
