PURPOSE:To perform the display, writing or reading, superposition, expansion/ reduction display, etc. of graphic information with use of a compact and lightweight graphic display device, by attaining a multi-functional system including an input means, a recording means, a printing means, etc. in addition of a display means for graphic information. CONSTITUTION:A graphic display device consists of a display means 1, a graphic input means 2, an external memory means 3, a display picture memory means 4, an input memory means 5, and a memory information control means 6. In such constitution, a single screen can be selected out of the graphic information on plural sheets of pictures and displayed on a display means 1. A graphic form inputted from the input means 2 can be displayed. Furthermore, the graphic form inputted from the input means 2 and written overlappedly with each other can be stored in the means 3.
