PURPOSE:To obtain a multilayer material combined with various materials free from contaminations in a heating process by cleaning connecting surfaces by a gas in a specified temperature just before connecting, heating the connecting surfaces locally and connecting the material to be rolled by rolling force. CONSTITUTION:The stocks 1, 2, 3 to be rolled are approached gradually to advance between rolling rolls 4, 4'. At this time, the gas raised >=100 deg.C free from a moisture is blown toward the surface to be connected through a hot air head 5 against the proceeding direction of the stock to be rolled and to remove the contamination and moisture on the surface to be connected. Succeedingly, a non-reactive gas raised >=100 deg.C is blown toward the surface to be connected through a hot air head 7 along with the proceeding direction of the stock to be rolled and to raise to a prescribed temperature while keeping the surface to be connected clean. In this way, without any danger of overheating, any contamination of the surface to be connected is not caused at heating. |
