PURPOSE:To shorten the schedule, by floating a roof, a nuckle plate and an uppermost stage sideboard assembled on a bottom board by means of the air fed into a tank then enlarging or shrinking the uppermost sideboard in the circumferential direction and welding. CONSTITUTION:In parallel with the loading work of a sideboard 12, a tank roof 13, a nuckle plate 14 and an uppermost stage sideboard 12a are assembled to have a smaller diameter than that of the drum section of the tank on a bottom board 11. Then a sealing device 16 is fixed to the outer circumference of the sideboard 12a and compressed air is fed into the sideboard 12 to float the assembly of the roof 13, the nuckle plate 14 and the sideboard 12a and hold it at a predetermined height. Thereafter, a temporarily assembled sideboard 12b located at the upper end of the sideboard 12 is squeezed by means of a wedge so that the circumferential length at the upper end section coincides with the circumferential length of the sideboard 12a at the roof 13 side thus butting both sideboards 12a, 12b and welding the circumference. |
