PURPOSE:To form heat insulation space and to improve positioning precision by interposing a heat insulating material between a position detecting scale and a fitting surface, and engaging said scale with said heat insulating material slidably lengthwise. CONSTITUTION:A head stock 4 is mounted on the slide surface of a column 5 in an upward/downward movable state, and an inductosyn scale 7 is arranged vertically beside the slide surface. Namely, a holding plate 13 is stuck to the reverse surface of the inductosyn scale 7 to its overall length, the upper and lower end parts of the holding plate 13 are held on the column 5 through legs 14P and 14Q, and the heat insulation space is formed between the holding plate 13 and column 5. This constitution improves the positioning precision. |
