PURPOSE:To obtain the title gel which has excellent tack and cohesive force and is useful as a medium between an organism and an electrode in detecting biopotential, by mixing a polymer having groups of maleic acid (anhydride) etc. in its molecule, a polyhydric alcohol, a polyfunctional epoxy compound, a low-molecular electrolyte, etc. CONSTITUTION:The title gel adherent to the skin is obtained by adding to water a polymer (A) having groups of maleic acid (anhydride) and/or a malate and/or a partially esterified maleic acid in its molecule (e.g., a styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer), a polyhydric alcohol (B) such as glycerin, a polyfunctional epoxy compound (C) such as ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, a low-molecular electrolyte (D) such as NaCl, and a neutralizing agent (E) such as NaOH or triethanolamine. |
