The invention relates to an electromechanical control device, the functioning of which is achieved with the aid of a code and which is intended to control an entry- monitoring device, comprising, on the one hand, a control unit, which is situated close to the device to be controlled and which comprises an electronic device 1 - 4 which checks the code given by the users and, in the event of a correct code, passes a control signal to the electrical drive device 5, and, on the other hand, a monitoring unit, which is situated a distance away and by means of which the said entry can be controlled and/or monitored. According to the invention, the control unit comprises a voltage detector 6, which is coupled to the connection mechanism of the electrical operating device 5 and the output signal of which is sent to a logic circuit which executes the AND function 7, which function receives a signal signifying the absence of operating commands, and the output signal of the said logic circuit 7 constitutes an alarm signal which is relayed to the monitoring unit. Advantageously, a voltage detector is used which gives a constant-level signal irrespective of the applied voltage, such as a photo contact. <IMAGE>
