Electrical connector, for the telescopic connection of two assemblies 14, 16 moving axially one in relation to the other, constituted by two connector shells (casings) 10, 12 each mounted respectively on one of the two assemblies, and which comprises: - means 88 for holding the main body of the second shell (casing) in a mounting receptacle (socket) which limit the said axial and angular movements, in accordance with the main patent application, characterised in that the holding means 88 include a retention and clearance-movement ring 200 mounted so as to slide over the rear portion of the main body 42 of the second connector shell (casing) 12, which possesses an axial movement pin (stud) 212 which extends rearwards and which penetrates inside a housing 214 formed opposite in a wall 216 of the mounting receptacle (socket) extending radially inwards, against the lateral edges 220, 222 of which housing this pin (stud) is capable of coming into abutment in order to limit their angular movements. <IMAGE>
