This sofabed comprises a framework 6 at the front and top end of which is articulated a first frame 10 having dimensions corresponding to those of the framework, one face of which is used to support the cushions of the seat part and the other face of which is used to support a part of the mattress. The other part of the mattress is fixed to a second frame 15 in two parts 16 and 17 articulated to each other, so that, in the sofa position, they form an angle with each other and are located below the first frame 10, and in the bed position, they are in the continuation of each other, in the same horizontal plane as the first frame 10. <IMAGE>
