PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance by confining the halogen ions in an org. compd. layer to a specific concn. or below. CONSTITUTION:The halogen ions in the org. compd. layer of an optical record ing medium provided with at least a recording layer which can optically repro duce information and the layer of the org. compd. on a substrate are confined to <1,000ppm. The decrease of the halogen ions in the org. compd. to <=1,000ppm is attained by increasing the purity of the raw material for the layer and cleaning in the process for forming the layer and the film adjacent thereto, for example, said decrease is attained by the more thorough dechlorination of the raw material and the cleaning of the equipment, etc. The corrosion resistance is thereby improved. |
