The invention relates to sports shoes (boots). This shoe (boot) comprises a sole 2 and an upper 3 formed from a low front part and a high rear part connected by stitching 10. At the level of this stiching 10, the two sides of the shoe (boot) bear additional closure elements 14 having a loop 16 into which the lace 9 can pass. This makes it possible to adopt several lacing configurations, with or without passage of the lace through the elements 14 and/or through the upper eyelets 8 in order to grip the instep more or less securely, according to the requirements or habits of the users.
