PURPOSE:To eliminate a troublesome response input by speech, by expressing an input liner diagram in appearance model by the shape of a loop, and a common code and inputting the result to a memory. CONSTITUTION:Linear diagrams (points: v1, v2,..., ridges: e1, e2,...) are inputted to a linear diagram data input part 1, and are displayed on a linear diagram display part 9, and are written on a memory 5. A loop detecting part 2 detects all of the loops appearing on the linear diagrams, and writes them on a memory 6, and a loop ridge expressing part 3 expresses each loop in the form of the ridge, and writes it on a memory 7. In a linear diagram appearance expressing part 4, the form (triangles 1, 2,..., quadrangles 1, 2,...) is supplied on each loop first, and a shared ridge of each loop is substituted for the form of the loop on one side, and an independent ridge e1 is replaced by a prescribed common code.
