PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing fluorine-containing compounds in high yield, by using a polyfluoroalcoholate prepared by treating a polyfluoroalcohol with an alkyl metal, etc., as a raw material and treating the raw material with a strong base under a mild condition. CONSTITUTION:A polyfluoroalcoholate shown by formula I (M is monovalent cation of lithium, magnesium, zinc, boron, aluminum, titanium, or tin; R<1> is F or perfluoroalkyl; R<2> is perfluoroalkyl; Y is F when X is F; Y is F, C or Br when X is Cl or Br) as a raw material is treated with a strong base such as methyllithium, etc., to give a compound shown by formula II. The reaction temperature is -80-50 deg.C, preferably room temperature-50 deg.C. Hexafluoro-2- propanolate may be cited as the concrete example of the compound shown by formula I. |
