Method for providing domestic water at a desired temperature and apparatus for carrying out this method, wherein a domestic-water storage tank heated by a central-heating boiler is used. The invention consists in that the temperature, which is higher by a desired difference, of the water supplied to the domestic-water storage tank from the central-heating boiler is regulated as a function of the temperature of the stored domestic water.
