In a container for storing and mixing two substances, preferably liquids, the first substance being located directly in the container and an ampoule being provided for the second substance, which ampoule can be broken open while the container is closed, and the container having a bottom and a tiltable valve in a top region, the ampoule is arranged with the ampoule spike in the direction towards the bottom of the container, and the bottom region of the ampoule is operatively connected to the valve. In this case, the valve may be connected rigidly or in an articulated manner to a sleeve surrounding the ampoule in the bottom region. In the case of said sleeve, the ampoule body is mounted in the container at the transition to the ampoule spike. The end of the ampoule spike pointing towards the bottom of the container is then held in a bearing having radial play. <IMAGE>
