A process reduces or prevents the formation of deposits inside fluid ducts of dental tool-holders and the like. After use of the tool-holder, the ducts are blown clear or dry by a gaseous medium under pressure, preferably air. A device for applying this process has at its front end an external shape which is complementary to the inner configuration of the cap-like end of the tool-holder (101, 201, 301, 401, 501, 601, 701) and is provided with an inner space at which starts at least one channel (107, 207, 307, 407, 507, 607, 707) for the gaseous medium which opens into the ducts (103', 203', 303', 403', 503', 603', 703') of the tool-holder to be treated. The space is linked or linkable to the source of gaseous medium under pressure and can be formed by the channel itself. |
