PURPOSE:To improve the fastness, resistance to transferring, resistance to stains, etc. of an formed image, by a method wherein a dye holding layer blended with a dye shown by a specific formula is provided on one surface of a substrate sheet to form a thermal transfer sheet. CONSTITUTION:On one surface of a substrate sheet, a dye holding layer containing a dye shown by a formula I (where X represents alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, hydroxyl, amino, alkylamino, acylamino, sulfonylamino, aminocarbonyl, nitro, etc., R1-R3 represent hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, acylamino, and aminocarbonyl, and R4, R5 represent alkyl) is provided to form a thermal transfer sheet. The thermal transfer sheet is superior in heat transferring properties and in dyeing properties and coloring properties to a material to be transferred. |
