A process and equipment for register correction by the swivelling of a flexible printing plate on the plate cylinder of a printing machine is proposed, in which the printing plate is arranged on the plate cylinder so as to be able to swivel about a point of plate rotation and where devices are provided in the machine for circumferential and lateral register corrections. The process is distinguished in that, after a test print, a final register correction of the print image takes place by plate rotation in such a way that firstly, the data of the register variation of a particular register point in the circumferential and/or lateral and/or angle positions are determined. Following this, the necessary setting procedures for the rotation of the plate as well as for the correction of circumferential and lateral register is carried out, when the setting instructions take into account the position of the point of plate rotation of the associated device in addition to the data determined previously. …<IMAGE>… |
