PURPOSE:To shorten and smoothen a mold clam,ping period of time by shortening a mold clamping stroke, by a method wherein the third link of a toggle mechanism is tilted at a specific angle. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal direction of the third link 6 forms a little tilting angle theta with a direction meeting at right angles with a moving direction of a moving die plate 2. theta=10 deg.-20 deg. is given. A ratio of a stroke of the moving die plate 2 to that of a mold clamping cylinder 11 turns high due to the tilting angle theta and it becomes that the stroke of the mold clamping cylinder 11 necessary for mold clamping can be managed with a little one. With this construction, a distance from a position where a load is the maximum to that where mold clamping is completed turns short, a mold clamping period of time is shortened and a mold clamping action also turns smooth. |
