MESSENGER RNA OF BETA-AMYLASE, NOVEL RECOMBINANT HAVING COMPLEMENTARY DNA CORRESPONDING TO SAID RNA AND NOVEL BACTERIUM MANIFESTING GENE THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce beta-amylase and to improve enzymatic functions by protein industry method, by extracting mRNA corresponding to beta-amylase from a plant seed and manifesting cDNA of the mRNA in a cell of bacterium. CONSTITUTION:beta-Amylase is produced by the following operation processes a-c. Namely (a) mRNA which is obtained from a fraction a little heavier than 18S and has no leader sequence is prepared from a fraction which corresponds to beta-amylase, obtained from a plant seed by sucrose density-gradient centrifugation method. (b) A recombinant having DNA (cDNA) complementary with the mRNA obtained by the process a is prepared. (c) A bacterium having a vector integrated with the cDNA is prepared.
