Process and apparatus for dedusting a dumped bed of catalyst grains or adsorbent grains

<p>A process and an apparatus are described for dedusting granular dumped beds of catalyst or adsorbent. In order to minimise the expenditure in terms of labour and time and the operating costs necessary for this, the dumped bed is subdivided by partitions into part-areas, the content of a part-area is removed by suction and the dust is separated off from the catalyst grains or absorbent grains. Thereupon the grains are reintroduced into a part-area. The process is advantageous in particular if a relatively frequent cleaning of the dumped bed is necessary. <IMAGE></p>
