Drawing-up and tilting device for a slatted blind, having a winding-up drum (3) for a pulling strip and a tilting mechanism for adjusting the carrying cords (8a, 8b), which tilting mechanism can pivot, via two independently pivotable jaws (6a, 6b) which act on a coupling part (5) connected to a drawing-up shaft (2), between two stops (9a, 9b) which are fixed to the housing. At the end of the pivot region, one stop (12a or 12b) of one jaw (6a or 6b) rests on one of the stops (9a or 9b), fixed to the housing, and opens the jaw, with the result that the drawing-up shaft (2) can rotate freely with respect to the tilting mechanism. <IMAGE>
