A sealing arrangement for the pressure chamber of a double-belt press is described, in the case of which the seal which runs round the pressure chamber is fixedly mounted on the inside edges of strips of sheet steel, the outside edges of which are fastened to the pressing frame. The seal can therefore be held resiliently and elastically owing to the leaf spring action of the steel strips perpendicularly to the belt guided through under the pressure chamber and owing to the elasticity of the strip of sheet steel, but is not able to tilt into grooves or guides. The new design therefore ensures a high degree of operating safety.
