<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp element even at low humidity having superior reproducibility and stability and a wide range of use temperature, by using diacetylene compounds as a humidity-sensitive element obtained by polymerizing under the presence of an electron receptive doping agent or electron donative doping agent. CONSTITUTION:Acetylene compounds such as 2,4-hexadigne-1,6-diol-,9,11-docosa digne-1-carboxylic acid, etc. are recrystallized under the presence of an electron receptive doping agent or electron donative doping agent such as I2, SbF5, CF3COOH or tetraalkyl ammonium salt, etc. Hereafter, ultraviolet rays or gamma-rays are irradiated to the crystal and a single crystal of polydiacetylene is obtained. The obtained polymerized crystal is fixed on an insulating substrate and a humidity-sensitive element is obtained by connecting an electrode lead wire. The electric resistance of this element is varied in correspondence to relative humidity and with good reproducibility in a wide range of 0-60 deg.C temperature and this element is sharp and is used sufficiently in a low humidity domain.</p> |
