PURPOSE:To enable fingerprints to be made clearly without staining fingers, by a method wherein a transfer printing medium comprising a pressure transmitting substrate is heated and a supercooling ink layer surface is brought into contact with a medium to be printed and a printing source is brought into pressure contact with an ink layer-free surface. CONSTITUTION:A transparent substrate 3 made of a polyester film is formed on a mount 2, and on the other side surface thereof an ink layer 4 consisting of an unsaturated polyester resin binder, which is a supercooling resin, and a red colorant is provided to form a transfer printing medium 1. The transfer printing medium 1 is inserted into a heater to be heated by the heater, whereby the ink layer 4 is melted. The ink layer 4, having supercooling characteristics, has been softened for several minutes at a temperature as low as you never feel not especially, through the temperature is set by the heater. In this manner, a surface G on the ink layer side is brought into contact with a body to be printed 5 and finger, which is a printing source 7, is pressed down against a reverse surface 6, whereby an image based on the irregularities of a fingerprint is transfer-printed to the paper. |
