PURPOSE:To obtain a seasoning readily handleable even after allowing to stand in a highly humid atmosphere, by supporting the seasoning on a puff. CONSTITUTION:A granular seasoning containing a seasoning supported on a puff. The above-mentioned puff is a porous substance normally obtained by kneading flour, e.g. starch, etc., with water or foaming and expanding plant seeds while heating. Rice, wheat or barley, corn, wheat flour, starch, etc., are exemplified as the puff used. Soy sauce, 'MISO' (paste made of fermented soybeans, used for preparing soup), vinegar, 'MIRIN' [sweet SAKE (Japanese rice wine)], common salt, sugar, curry powder, edible oil, butter, 'WASABI' (Japanese horseradish), etc., are cited as the seasoning. The amount of the supported seasoning based on the puff is normally about 20-200% based on the weight of the puff. The seasoning is supported on the puff by a method for scattering at least one of fine powder having an aroma and a binder on the puff in a moving state, particularly using a tumbling fluidized bed coating device. |
