<p>PURPOSE:To effectively and easily separate and recover sulfur having high concentration, fine structure and excellent sedimentation property, with small- sized device by feeding a gas contg. H2S to a specified rotary atomizer which is arranged in an absorbing tank storing an aq. soln. of iron salt contg. ferric ion. CONSTITUTION:The rotary atomizer which is constituted by holding an inverted and bottomed cylindrical rotational body 2 having a gas storage space 8 at a rotary shaft 3 and arranging a gas feeding pipe 7 to be allowed to coincide with the center axial line of the pipe 7 with that of the shaft 3 is arranged in the absorbing tank 1. Then the aq. soln. of iron salt contg. ferric ion (e.g. aq. soln. of FeCl3) is stored in the absorbing tank 1 and the gas contg. H2S is fed through a pipe 5 and the gas feeding pipe 7, is stored in the gas storage space 8 of the rotational body 2 rotating at high speed, and is allowed to over flow from an opening part, and to be disperse into the aq. soln. in fine bubbles. Thus, the solid sulfur is deposited by allowing said gas to react with the ferric salt and is coagulated by shear flow. Thereby, the formed sulfur particle with excellent sedimentation property is easily separated and recovered.</p> |
