PURPOSE:To contrive a smaller field memory circuit, by reading a one-field amount of video signals written in a RAM of the field memory circuit, sequentially from data stored in a horizontal address. CONSTITUTION:A one-field amount of video signals written in a ram 7 of a field memory circuit 6 are read for one horizontal line at a time under control of a controller 5, and are outputted from a data output terminal DOUT. The video signals thus outputted from the terminal DOUT of the circuit 6 are supplied to a signal-converting circuit 11, in which the signals are converted into printing signals (e.g., yellow Ye, cyan Cy and magenta Mg component signals). An output from the circuit 11 is supplied to a head device 13 through a onehorizontal-line memory 12. The head device 13 comprises thermaI meads the number of which is equal to the number of dots corresponding to the horizontal direction of an image. Since a large number of address lines are not led out from the field memory circuit, the number of pins is small, and a smaller field memory circuit can be contrived. |
