PURPOSE:To enable a color printing of a background to be easily executed, by a method wherein a color printing means is regulated by a background color regulation means, and the background of printing is printed in the background color set by the background color setting means. CONSTITUTION:CPU 51 controls input-output processing by exchanging necessary data or the like mutually with ROM 52, RAM 53, line memory 54, keyboard input circuit 55, printing drive circuit 58, etc. After setting a background color by execution of a background color setting routine, a start position at which printing is started is set. Then, the printing data of one line content of text data stored in RAM 53 are developed in a print buffer, and printing is carried out by regulating a printer 4. Then, a bit corresponding to a dot printed by execution of the process in the set range is inverted to obtain data, then that data and the data between the set background color and a range in which the background is printed are developed in the print buffer. Then, the background within the set range is printed by regulation of the printer 4. |
