PURPOSE:To dispense with an intermediate pot, an intermediate arm, etc., as well as to aim at simplification in a system structure, by installing a tool changing arm, an arm supporting device, a guide bar, an arm supporting device reciprocating device, a guide bar rotating device, etc. CONSTITUTION:An arm supporting device 30 is moved to the side of a spindle 17, while a tip part of a tool changing arm 31 is inserted into a clamp part of a used old tool T for engagement. In succession, an arm turning shaft 33 is moved, pulling the old tool T out of the spindle 17. Next, the tool changing arm 31 is rotated as far as 180 deg., moving the arm turning shaft 33, and new tool T is inserted into the spindle 17. Afterward, the arm supporting device 30 is moved to the side of a tool magazine 12, stopping it at a stand-by position, and the new tool T is separated from the tool changing arm 31, thus it is attached to the spindle 17. According to this constitution, even in case of the setup relation that the spindle 17 and a tool pot are orthogonal with each other, it is unnecessary to use an intermediate pot, an intermediate arm, or the like. |
