PURPOSE:To eliminate a stain caused by gas from a lamp peripheral member by separating a blowoff flow from a lamp peripheral member and converting an air flow into free jet. CONSTITUTION:Toner 8 arrayed on the upper surface of recording paper 7 is heated by flash from a flash lamp 1, melted and fixed on the recording paper 7. Gas generated from an image 8 caused by the sudden heating of the toner 8 is removed through an air blowoff port 5 and a suction port 6. When a blowoff control plate 15 is fitted to the blowoff port 5, the air flow is separated from the lamp peripheral member such as a glass plate 3 and converted into a free jet. Since the free jet is formed between the lamp peripheral member and the recording paper 7 and the lamp peripheral member does in exist in the jet area, the gas is not brought into contact with the lamp peripheral member and the member can be prevented from being stained. |
