PURPOSE:To increase a bleaching speed and to prevent yellow staining by incorporating specific couplers into a silver halide color photographic sensitive emulsion layer and incorporating a specific quantity of iodide ions into a bleach- fix bath. CONSTITUTION:The couplers expressed by formula I, II, III are incorporated into the photosensitive emulsion layer. In formulas, Za, Zb, Zc are the atomic groups to form a nitrogenous heterocycle; Xa, Xb, Xc are H, group which is eliminated by reacting with a color developing agent; Ra-Rg are H, substituent; Y1 is C, N atoms; Y2 is C, hetero atom; between Y1 and Y2 is a single bond or double bond; n3, n4 are 0, 1. The bleaching speed is increased by incorporating the iodide ions at >=1.0X10<-3> gram ions per l of the bleach-fix bath into said bleach-fix bath. Since the couplers and the iodide ion are incorporated into the emulsion layer, the bleaching speed is increased and the increase of the yellow stain in the long-period preservation of the dye image is prevented. |
