PURPOSE:To simplify a power circuit and wiring, by performing polarized processing so that a direct expansion pole to impress cycle voltage to an electrostrictive element and associated expansion poles situated on either side of the direct expansion pole may be comprised. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 10 of an electrostriction motor is formed by an electrostrictive element 11 shaped in ring, etc. and a ring-shaped elastic body 12 jointed on it, where the upper surface of the elastic body 12 is formed serrately. On the vibrator 10 is situated a rotor 20 coaxial to this vibrator 10, the shaft 21 of which is inserted into a bearing 13 of the vibrator 10 and brought into contact with an interface (upper end face) 14 of the elastic body 12. The rotor 20 is caused to rotate by the oscillatory wave (standing wave) produced to the interface by the cycle voltage applied to the electrostrictive element 11. At this moment, the electrostrictive element 11 is polarizedly processed into three poles circumferentially, by which electrodes are constituted so as to form a direct expansion pole A and associated expansion poles B and C as well as a common electrode. Although they are standing waves, oscillatory waves are thereby produced to the elastic body 12 giving moving force to the rotor 20, with which the rotor 20 can be rotated, etc. |
