Rollers feed a first elongate product along a horizontal path. A gripper feeds a second product along on inclined path oblique to the horizontal path. Adjacent the respective paths are associated fixed cutters. The fixed cutters cooperate with a transversely movable cutter for cutting off the respective products sequentially, in nomal and inclined fashion. Overlapping portion of the joint piece and product length thus formed are then joined to each other. |
