<p>This invention relates to an improvement for a drive shaft which transmits rotation from an engine to an axle of driving wheels of an automobile. The prior art drive shaft using a solid using a solid shaft was not only heavy but expensive. This invention attempts to solve such inconvenience by providing a transmission pipe (1) which comprises a pipe member (2) having a smaller diameter at the middle portion (2A) thereof and larger diameter at both ends (2B) thereof and solid shaft members (3) which are inserted into the both ends of the pipe member, the pipe member and the shaft members being connected by caulking.</p> |
