PURPOSE:To slash communication cost by deciding whether identification data that a center device transmits is the same as stored identification data and transmitting stored update data to a POS terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:The decision is made whether the identification data which is transmitted from the POS terminal equipment 1 together with transaction data and identifies contents of data required for transaction processings is the same as the identification data which is stored in the center device 2 and identifies contents of data required for transaction processing. Only if they disagree, the data which is stored in the center device 2 and required for transaction processing is transmitted to the POS terminal equipment 1. Hence update data can be transmitted only to the POS terminal requiring modification without providing a control table controlling the data that the POS terminals require for transaction processing. Thus the communication cost can be slashed. |
