PURPOSE:To provide an antineoplastic polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence, improved specific activity, widened reaction spectrum and reduced side effects. CONSTITUTION:The objective polypeptide has an amino acid sequence of formula wherein one or more amino acid residues in the amino acid residues from the 13th Val to the 157th Leu are substituted, depleted or inserted and at least the 18th Ala is substituted with Pro. The polypeptide can be produced in a mass by transforming a microorganism with a recombinant plasmid containing a DNA region coding said polypeptide and culturing the transformed microorganism. |
