PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption thereby to reduce the size of the structure of an optical resonator by providing lamp heating means directly mounted closely on a rubidium lamp having a discharge electrode on the outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:A pair of lamp exciting discharge electrodes 2a, 2b are mounted directly oppositely on the outer periphery of a rubidium lamp 1, and a lamp heating transistor 3 is bonded closely directly to the lamp 1 at the rear end of the lamp 1. This is bonded with a conductive adhesive. The lamp 1 is carried by an auxiliary securing support member 4, and the lamp 1 and the transistor 3 are secured and integrated completely within a housing 12 by a filler 13, such as a silicon. A lamp section 32 is integrally formed with a gas cell 31 which contains a cavity resonator 6. |
