PURPOSE:To obtain an image having a precise total absorbed dose distribution by providing a scattered X-ray shield means just before an X-ray detector means, and a scattered X-ray compensating means for compensating an effect by scattered X-rays. CONSTITUTION:A scattered X-ray shielding means provided just before a transmitted X-ray detector 3 shields the detector 3 from scattered X-rays 5 but allows transmitted primary X-rays alone to impinge upon the detector 3. Accordingly, a distribution of attenuation factors of the transmitted X-rays is obtained. An output from the detector 3 is delivered to a computer so as to apply a theoretical scattered X-ray compensation to the attenuation factor distribution of the transmitted primary X-ray distribution, thereby an image having a total absorbed dose distribution is displayed. |
