PURPOSE:To produce a composite lid excellent in sanitary characteristics with high productivity by molding plastic into an outer lid using the outer surface of a metal inner lid as a part of a molding surface and temporarily adhering both of the outer lid and the metal inner lid to unify both of them and applying high frequency induction heating thereto under pressure to perform final adhesion. CONSTITUTION:A molding station 20 is equipped with a large number of molds 22 and an inlet turret 24 supplies the metal inner lid 22 sent from a metal inner lid feeder 25 to each of the molds 22 and an extruder 27 supplies plastic for forming an outer lid to each of the molds 27. A mold 22 is equipped with a male mold 30 and a female mold 31 and the inner lid 1 is inserted in the grasping part 33 of the male mold 30 and plastic 50 is supplied to be subjected to compression molding, and the top surface wall 11 and skirt part 12 of the plastic outer lid are temporarily adhered to the metal inner lid 1. A high frequency welding station 21 is equipped with a large number of high frequency heating heads 52 and a lid body A is held by a lid support 54 in such a state that a plastic outer lid 10 is opposed to a heating head 52 and the lid support 54 presses the plastic outer lid 10 to the metal inner lid 1 to supply a current to a coil 57 and the metal inner lid 1 is finally adhered to the plastic outer lid 10.
