PURPOSE:To make it possible to firmly bond members of complicated shapes together by providing resin reservoirs between each end of a bonding member and each end of a mating member, forming lap joint parts of both members, sufficiently applying an adhesive to the lap joint parts and the reservoirs and bonding the both together. CONSTITUTION:Each end of a mating member 2 to be bonded to a bonding member 1 made of, for example, sheet steel is beveled to form a reservoir 4 for a resin 3, and two such mating members 2 are put to both sides of the member 1 in such a manner that the member 1 is sandwiched in between the members 2 so that the resin 3 may be sufficiently applied to the joint parts 5 and may be filled in the reservoirs 4, thus effecting bonding. According to this process, bonding of members of various shapes is possible and the bonding strengths such as tensile strength, compressive strength and shear strength at the joint part and the fatigue life of the joint part can be improved. |
