<p>PURPOSE:To prevent improper use of a person's seal by providing the person's seal with a storage medium for data for verifying the said person, an input means for the data and a collating means for the data, and certifying the propriety of a person who uses the seal. CONSTITUTION:After filling up a transaction slip and sealing on the slip, a customer hands over a passbook and the slip to a bank clerk, who visually checks seal impressions. With an IC card 2 inserted into an IC card reader- writer 4, a transaction ID stored in a read-only region 31 is collated with a transaction ID stored in a data storage part 37. When the two IDs accord with each other, a demand message for input of the customer's ID number is displayed on a display device 22. With the ID number inputted through a keyboard 20, a collating part 26 collates the ID number with a customer's ID number stored in a confidential data storage region 30, and displays the result of collation on the display device 22. Then, the clerk discriminate the propriety of the customer based on the check result of the seal impression and the collation results of the customer's ID number, and carried out transactions. Thus, it is possible to prevent improper use of a person's seal.</p> |
