PURPOSE:To enable toner to be supplied by scattering by providing a developing roller and a comb-shaped member which abuts on the surface of a porous elastic roller in its axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The elastic roller 2 deforms in a slightly recessed shape at the abutting part between the comb-shaped member 2 and elastic roller and restores itself speedily after passing through the abutting part. Further, the projection part of the comb-shaped member 3 engages the hole of the elastic roller 2 and is displaced in the rotating direction of the elastic roller 2, and when its displacement quantity reaches a certain value, the projection part disengages from the hole and leave the elastic roller, so the projection part returns to its initial position speedily. Toner carried on the surface of the elastic roller 2 is scattered in a powdery state from the abutting part between the comb-shaped member 3 and elastic roller 2 by the deformation and restoration of the elastic roller 2 and the vibration of the comb-shaped member 3 to stick on the surface of the developing roller. Consequently, the toner is supplied to the developing roller 1 by an invariably stable quantity. |
