PURPOSE:To prevent the function from being incomplete because of sticking of foreign matters by suspending a floppy disk (FD), whose function is incomplete because of sticking of foreign matters, in a washing liquid to wash away foreign matters. CONSTITUTION:First, a water washing liquid is selected as the washing liquid, and it is preferable that the water washing liquid is switched to an organic solvent liquid incompatible with the binder of an FD 1 for persistent oily stain which is left unwashed away by water washing. With respect to the washing method, it is preferable that the FD 1 is suspended in the washing liquid and is immersed to a sufficient depth. FDs 1 are suspended in the washing liquid by holders 2 without being brought into contact with the other objects such as a washing tank and the FDs 1 of one another in case of continuous treatment. Ultrasonic waves having 30-50kHz frequency are radiated to FDs 1 suspended in the liquid and these FDs 1 are rotated and/or reciprocated upward and downward. Thus, the functions of FDs 1 are restored from incompletion. |
