<p>PURPOSE:To easily separate and remove a sheet of paper which is wound around the surface of a roller by providing a second separating member for separating off a wound sheet of paper on a defined position on the lower course side of the paper separating part on the circumference of a heating roller. CONSTITUTION:A second separating means is formed with a jammed paper separating claw 15 in addition to the conventional separating claw 10 of a fixing device 1. This jammed paper separating claw 15 is provided on the lower course in the rotating direction of a heating roller 5 and is swingably supported by a claw rotating shaft provided on the defined position of it. And, by energizing one end part with a spring 17, the claw 15 is brought into contact with the surface of a heating roller 5 at a defined pressure. Accordingly, a sheet of paper P which is not separated by the separating claw 10 and wound around the surface of the heating roller 5 can be easily separated by the jammed paper separating claw 15 which is a second separating means and discharged to the outside of a copying machine.</p> |
