PURPOSE:To enhance recording quality by preventing the disturbance of a recording part due to the contact with a guide wall, by changing the pressure of gas applied to the member to be recorded of a gas pressure supply means in accordance with the thickness of a non-recording member. CONSTITUTION:A paper thickness sensor 104 for detecting the thickness of recording paper 17 is provided on the upper side of a paper feed guide 35. When the recording paper 17 is thick and heavy, the rotational speed of a fan 105 is increased to increase the quantity of the air sprayed to the recording paper 17 and, contrarily, when the recording paper 17 is thin and light, the rotational speed of the fan 105 is decreased to reduce the quantity of the air sprayed to the recording paper 17. The recording paper 17 passing the leading end of the guide member 51 of a recording part is fed by the pressure of the air supplied from the small hole of a paper delivery guide 89 and controlled in accordance with the thickness of the recording paper by the paper thickness sensor 104 while being contacted with the paper delivery guide 87 under pressure and, by this air flowing out, the character recorded in ink on the recording paper 17 is rapidly dried. |
