The invention presents a can crusher that crushes flat recovered cans. In the center of the main body (1) is placed an upand-down actuating cylinder (3) having a pedal panel (5) on its top. In the slot (6) of the cylinder a lever (7) is elasically supported by a spring (10) and has a roll (8) and a stopper (9) at its lower end. A bracket (11) on the back of the body (1) fixes a press plate (13) movably in a manner of tilting the plate upward by a spring (14) and receiving the actuating cylinder (3) in a square opening (12) in the plate. A load plate (17) has foldable side walls (18) pivoting on shafts (19), (20) for all of them to cooperate in crushing and folding the can on load.
